ScholarshipsThe ISA has always taken special interest in the youth of the State of Illinois. One of the ISA goals is for Illinois children to become well educated adults, able to cope with the pressures of today’s society. Thanks to our members support, the ISA is able to offer scholarship programs to students throughout Illinois.

The Illinois Sheriff's Association announces that it will be awarding $54,000 in college scholarships throughout the State of Illinois to students wishing to pursue higher education during the 2017-2018 academic year. The students must be enrolled full-time at a certified institution of higher learning within the State of Illinois. The Illinois Sheriff's Association will award (1) $500 scholarship to Massac County.
Ted Holder, Massac County Sheriff, will be awarding (4) additional $500 scholarships for a total of five scholarships to Massac County students.
There will be no restriction on any applicant by reason of race, age, creed, color, sex, or national origin. The only limitations are as follows:
*Applicants must be a permanent Illinois residents
*Scholarships must be utilized at institutions of higher learning within the State of Illinois
*Students must be enrolled as a full-time student during the 2017-2018 school year
Applications are now available at the Massac County Sheriff's Office, Massac County High School, Joppa High School or online at the Illinois Sheriff's Association website.
Applications are also available for download at the bottom of the page.
Students must complete the application, answer the essay question and return all documents to the Massac County Sheriff's Office by March 15, 2017, DON NOT SEND THEM TO THE ILLINOIS SHERIFF'S ASSOCIATION.
